Design Project Manager

We’re seeking a great fit for a role where design matters most.

OVERVIEW

This position leads the most creative work in the industry and the team that drives it forward. Responsibilities include fostering great customer relationships, trend-setting creative vision, and growing a team of designers who report to you. This position works alongside our other Creative Directors and reports directly to our CEO, who is also an industrial designer by training and trade.

VARIETY

This position plans and executes product and brand-related design work in all industries, from sports equipment to electronics, medical devices to transportation. As the leader of your team, you will be entrusted to carry projects through research, ideation, CAD, mockups, finished prototypes, and testing by utilizing our design studio and fabrication shop’s capabilities.

PREFERRED

• Management: 10+ years of project management (ideally in a creative field) or creative direction experience in a product development/design agency environment
• Industrial Design: Familiarity with all aspects of user research methodologies, ideation sketching, CAD modeling software, mechanical engineering, product development, and manufacturing processes. Personal or professional background in fabrication, industrial trades, or general craftsmanship.
• Brand & UI/UX: Familiarity with graphic and web design, branding, packaging design, and UI/UX methods, software, and industry trends.
